Yes, our bags are actually smell proof! Our odor-eliminating bags are fabricated with premium materials like activated carbon that lock in odors, so you can carry smelly substances with confidence that the scent will be contained.

Activated carbon is a type of charcoal that’s treated with oxygen to open up millions of tiny pores between the carbon atoms. This dramatically increases the surface area of the charcoal, which allows it to attach itself to more molecules of gas, including the ones that cause smells. Whatever’s causing the odor is then trapped in the pores of the activated carbon, keeping scents trapped in the lining of the bag.

The bags are also easy to use; simply place your item in the bag and seal it shut. The airtight seal will prevent any odors from escaping, ensuring that your privacy is protected and no one will be able to tell what’s inside.

Q: How do I refresh the carbon filter lining in my bag?

A: You can reactivate the carbon filter by putting it outside with exposure to direct sunlight for one hour. Since the UV rays from the sun kill bacteria, this will remove any trapped odors and make your bag smell fresh again. Afterwards, you can put the bag back to use as usual.

If it’s a cloudy day or you don’t have a way to sun your bag, 20 minutes of heat from a hair dryer or clothes dryer will also remove smells from your bag. If you’re using a hair dryer, be sure to keep the setting on low and hold the dryer about six inches away from your fabric. This will remove unwanted smells and kill bacteria.

Clothes dryers typically have a higher heat setting than hair dryers, so you’ll need to be careful not to overdo it. 20 minutes of heat should be enough to freshen up the filter without damaging the bag so it can last as long as possible. After you’ve ensured that your bag is fresh and clean, you can use our smell-proof bags with confidence that your privacy is protected.

Q: Do you make custom bags?

A: At this time, we do not offer color or design customization for our products. However, understand that everyone has their own unique style, and we want to make sure that our products reflect that, so we’re constantly exploring new options to provide our customers with the best possible experience.
